DRIED HOOVES
Dried beef hooves, are a british beef hoof that has been slowly air dried. Dried hooves are one of the most popular natural dog treats on the market today, a wonderful treat. They have been around for as long as we can remember, and there are good reasons for it:
They are 100% NATURAL, that means that you get what you see – unlike most dog treats you will find on the supermarket shelves, these dried hooves are totally free from artificial preservatives and colourants!
They are LOWER ODOUR – some treats on the market can end up with you having to open your windows to ventilate the house once the bag has been opened – not ours! They are not completely odour free (I doubt your dog will like odour free hooves), but they are not as smelly as some which can end up in an expensive bill of air fresheners. They are a clean(er) dog treat too, not making too much of a mess in the house.
These dried hooves have been PRODUCED IN THE UK, to the highest standards, using all UK sourced ingredients. Unlike other brands of treats and bones that import their products from abroad, we prefer UK produce for obvious reasons.
They are LONG LASTING – depending on the size of your dog, they will help to keep your dogs occupied and help to reduce boredom, and mentally stimulate your dogs. They can even help to clean your dog’s teeth and gums – how wonderful!
They are PACKED FULL OF PROTEIN, they are made from a natural protein called keratin, the same protein you would find in a buffalo horn. They are a great alternative to buffalo horns, rawhide or any other pressed chews.
They are GRAIN & GLUTEN FREE, this means that if your dog has a gluten intolerance you are safe to feed these. The most premium dog foods are grain & gluten free, so why not feed your dog some premium dried hooves?
They have been SLOWLY AIR DRIED, if the hoof has been dried too fast or at too high a temperature, it can cause them to go brittle and splinter. Slowly air drying our hooves means that they are less likely to splinter*
We recommend to all our customers that dried hooves should be fed to puppies older than 6 months old and are suitable for all dog breeds and sizes. However – please ensure that fresh drinking water has been provided and you should always keep a close eye on your dog when feeding any treats, not just dried hooves, as if anything was to go wrong you are there to lend a helping hand.
*All natural hooves have a chance of splintering, and we don’t like to state that they WON’T splinter, however we do advise that if your dog has particularly strong jaws or is a fast eater, please do keep a close eye, as there is a chance that they can splinter. Please discard any pieces to avoid choking, upset or a blockage. Chewing any hard treats can cause damage to your dog’s teeth.
