Feeding Guide

Minimise digestive upset, introduce Healthy Option gradually into your pet’s diet. Over the course of 7-10 days, introduce a little of the new food together with the original food. Gradually increase the new food while decreasing the old, until you are only feeding the new food. Always ensure plenty of fresh drinking water is available.

We recommend 20 grams of food per 1 kg of body weight for resting dogs, although all dogs differ, this is a guide only depending on the individual requirements of the dog, i.e. how active the dog is. For example, 11kg Cocker Spaniel needs approximately 110g of Healthy Options Pet Food.

For when dogs are working we recommend feeding 20 grams of food per kilo of bodyweight. This will ensure you dog will maintain energy throughout the day.
